DOCUTAH brings together independent filmmakers, aspiring film students, citizens of the world and the Southern Utah community in an educational setting on the campus of Dixie State University. Dixie Round-up Rodeo
The St George Lions Dixie Roundup Rodeo is an annual rodeo held the second week in September at the historic Sun Bowl in St. George, Utah. Held by the St. George Lions Club and approved by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association. For years the roundup has been a huge event for the St. George area, with cowboys and cowgirls alike everyone comes out for our young mutton busters on up through our fearless bull riders! You will not be disappointed by the action and excitement of the Dixie Roundup! PRCA approved professional rodeo featuring Rodeo champion cowboys and stock.

Location: At the Historic St. George Sun bowl
Time: Gates open & tickets on sale at 6:00 p.m. nightly, pre-rodeo entertainment 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Rodeo usually ends about 11:00pm.
Early Tickets: Sales for tickets will begin Saturday Sept 12th, 2015 at the Lions building north of the Sunbowl. Tickets will also be on each week day (Monday September 14th through Saturday the 19th). The Lions building will be open and tickets available from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This includes General Admission and Reserved Seating. You can call 435-673-3301 and order your tickets using a credit card. Both General Admission and Reserve Seating are available.
- General Admission – Adult: $10.00
- General Admission – Children (11 and under): $5.00. Children age 2 and younger, who do not take up a seat (by sitting on Mom or Dad’s lap), are free.
- Reserved Seating: $15.00. Purchased ahead of time. See Early Ticket Sales above.
Kids Night: On Thursday (September 17, 2015) bring the whole family!! Children ages 11 and under are free. Save lots of money at the gate and buy the kids one of our famous and incredibly tasty hamburgers.
Mutton Busting: Intermountain Farmer Association 310 N Industrial Road St George UT 84770. Contact Samantha Larson with IFA 673-3631. Sign ups starts August 3, 2015, and goes until September 3, 2015. Then we will Draw on September 4, 2015 and notify the parents of the contestants.
National Anthem Tryouts for this years rodeo will be on August 5, 2015 at 7 PM at the St George Lions Club.

City of St. George Utah – Concert In The Park
The Concert in the Park Series is a celebration of wonderful music, open parks and family celebration.The Series runs April through September at Vernon Worthen Park.Park seating is available. Families are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and food. Hurricane City Utah Peach Days 2015
Peach Days, “A Celebration of our Heritage”, is once again drawing near! This year’s event will be held Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5. Be sure to bring your appetite. Food booths with all your favorite mouth-watering options will be on hand.Peach Days wouldn’t be complete without the rodeo, entertainment, parade, Pioneer Corner, 12K Fun Run, and the Peach Cook-Off. The Hurricane Canal Trek, quilt show, and a wide variety of booths displaying commercial and homemade goods will also be included. The traditional displays, always a staple of the event, will be featured in the Hurricane Elementary building. Plan now to prepare an entry. Categories include home arts, fine arts, garden, and baked or bottled goods.Community participation is what makes the Peach Days displays a success. Prizes are only awarded to top-placing entries in each division, but all entries are awarded a ribbon and will be truly enjoyed by thousands of event-goers. So, as the summer progresses, watch for a special photo opportunity, finish a painting or afghan, or tend your garden with extra care and plan to share your harvest of talent with us in August.Plan to be a part of this year’s event. This treasured event is a great opportunity for new and old friends to mingle as we celebrate Hurricane’s heritage.
